We’re heading into the last leg of our adoption from foster care journey.We’ve taken the classes, completed the health evaluation, passed the home inspection, completed our home study, were matched, went to tpr and now we are just waiting to get the date for our adoption finalization.
The baby’s new social worker just left. She reminds me of our adoption worker. I like her. She says that because legally his name is “Baby Boy” Sacramento may not accept the application for adoption. If that happens we’ll have to legally change his name and then resubmit … which would push his adoption finalization back to the end of summer … possibly September. Let’s cross our fingers that it is accepted and we get a call on March 7th saying that the appeals process is over and we are heading to finalization!
