Women in Secularism Conference 2016

I just saw the dates for the Women in Secularism Conference. It’ll be in Arlington, VA September 23 – 25, 2016. I heard about it from my African American for Humanism group on Facebook:

AAH is excited that racial justice activist Johnetta “Netta” Elzie is coming to the Women in Secularism 4 conference this September! From the article below:

“Black women are not merely important to this movement—they are its single most critical faction.”

“Fortune named her one of the world’s 50 greatest leaders…Her activism applied pressure to the Clinton and Sanders presidential campaigns to develop concrete platforms around racial justice and revitalized the national discussion about police brutality against people of color.”

“The company she keeps reflects her understanding of gender diversity and also her sense of inclusivity and expansiveness…’Everybody ain’t black and straight and going to church,’ she says.”

Register now for Women in Secularism 4, September 23–25, 2016 in Arlington, VA, just outside of DC.
